Fitter Technician

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical & Mechanical Technician to join our maintenance team in a steel plant environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in both electrical and mechanical systems, with a solid understanding of industrial equipment and processes. Knowledge of EOT (Electric Overhead Traveling) Cranes will be considered a strong advantage. Key Responsibilities:   Perform routine, preventive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment.   Troubleshoot and repair motors, control panels, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, and other plant machinery.   Ensure optimal operation of steel plant systems by diagnosing issues and implementing solutions.   Maintain and repair EOT cranes, hoists, and related lifting equipment (if experienced).   Read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and mechanical blueprints.   Ensure compliance with safety standards and perform tasks according to industry best practices.   Document all maintenance activities and report to the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager. Requirements:   Diploma / ITI in Electrical, Mechanical, or related technical field.   Minimum 3 years of experience in an industrial or steel plant setting.   Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.   Familiarity with PLCs, drives, sensors, and control systems is a plus.   Hands-on experience with EOT cranes is highly desirable.   Ability to work in shifts and respond to emergencies.   Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications:   Certification or training in EOT Crane maintenance.   Experience in steel manufacturing or heavy industrial plants.
