Job Title: Fitter

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fitter to join our team. The Fitter will be responsible for assembling, fitting, and fabricating components to construct mechanical systems, structures, and machinery. The ideal candidate will be proficient in reading technical drawings and blueprints, using a variety of tools, and ensuring all assemblies are built to precise specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine layout and assembly procedures.
• Measure, cut, shape, and fit metal components using tools such as grinding machines, saws, and measuring instruments.
• Assemble and install mechanical parts, components, and systems according to plan.
• Inspect and test finished products to ensure they meet quality control standards.
• Perform maintenance and repair on existing mechanical systems as needed.
• Collaborate with welders, engineers, and other team members to ensure project goals are met efficiently.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, ensuring a safe working environment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Fitter or a similar role.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical components, tools, and assembly processes.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a vocational or technical training program in fitting, metal fabrication, or a related field is a plus.
