As the Head Coach - Fitness at Weekday's client in Chennai, your role involves developing and overseeing comprehensive fitness programs to enhance physical performance, overall well-being, and injury prevention. You will be managing a team of fitness professionals, driving innovation in training methodologies, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Your deep technical expertise, strong leadership abilities, and commitment to evidence-based practices in fitness and strength conditioning are essential for success in this role. - **Program Design & Execution** - Create and implement structured strength and conditioning programs tailored to specific client or athlete needs. - Conduct and supervise fitness assessments to measure progress and physical capabilities. - Integrate exercise science principles such as biomechanics and injury prevention into all programs. - Adapt programming based on individual requirements, goals, and progression. - Stay current with research and best practices in fitness and performance training. - **Leadership & Team Management** - Lead and mentor a team of fitness coaches to ensure effective program delivery. - Provide training, performance reviews, and development plans for coaching staff. - Develop SOPs and workflows to standardize and elevate service quality. - Manage staffing schedules and ensure optimal coverage across sessions. - Cultivate a results-oriented, collaborative, and high-performance work culture. - **Collaboration & Communication** - Coordinate with sport coaches, physiotherapists, athletic trainers, and nutritionists to deliver integrated client development plans. - Deliver clear, motivating instructions and feedback to clients/athletes. - Present program strategies and updates to stakeholders when needed. - Participate in departmental meetings to maintain alignment and collaboration. - **Strategic Planning & Operations** - Contribute to long-term strategy and goal-setting for the fitness division. - Manage departmental budgets, including equipment purchases and staff development. - Oversee maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency of fitness facilities. - Ensure adherence to safety protocols and organizational policies. - Implement systems to track program success through data collection and analysis. - **Client & Athlete Engagement** - Provide direct coaching as necessary, supporting clients in achieving fitness goals. - Educate on proper technique, injury prevention, and the value of lifelong fitness. - Foster a motivating and inclusive training environment. **Required Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Physiology, B.P.Ed, or M.P.Ed. - At least 8 years of experience in fitness coaching or strength and conditioning. - Proven leadership experience in managing fitness teams. - Demonstrated success in creating and delivering effective training programs.
