Role Overview: As a Financial Crime Issues Management Oversight Lead - Vice President at Barclays, you will be at the forefront of driving the evolution of the Financial Crime team within the Issues Management Oversight (IMO) department. Your primary responsibility will involve supervising the financial crime-related issues environment across BBPLC businesses. This encompasses providing oversight, conducting checks & challenges, delivering training, and offering financial crime-specific guidance to ensure the smooth functioning of the issues management framework. Your role will also emphasize maintaining consistency, fostering accountability, and supporting continuous improvement through training and engagement with stakeholders. Effective stakeholder management, leadership, and decision-making skills are vital to align with business strategy and risk management. Key Responsibilities: - Demonstrate deep subject matter expertise by showcasing authoritative knowledge of Financial Crime regulation, policy, and risk mitigation strategies. Translate complex regulatory expectations into practical oversight. - Utilize strategic business insight to understand diverse business segments and their associated Financial Crime risks. Prioritize effectively and tailor oversight across multiple business lines. - Adopt a solutions-oriented approach by identifying opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement. Lead and deliver complex programs of work from inception through to execution. - Display leadership and influence skills by managing and developing high-performing teams. Influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners to drive alignment and embed a culture of accountability and excellence. - Exhibit exceptional communication and organizational abilities by being highly structured and organized. Communicate clearly and concisely, distilling complex issues into actionable insights for senior audiences. - Leverage strong analytical capability to identify thematic trends and emerging risks through data-driven insights. Synthesize large volumes of information to inform strategic decision-making. Qualifications Required: - Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree. - Hold relevant professional qualifications. - Demonstrate knowledge of bank compliance business lines. - Have previous experience coaching & developing colleagues in an SME capacity. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools. - Experience using ORAC is highly valued.
