Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Financial Reporting:

1. Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

2. Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and internal policies.

3. Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.

  • Budgeting & Forecasting:

1. Lead the annual budgeting process, including the development of financial forecasts and variance analysis.

2. Monitor and analyze budget performance, providing insights and recommendations to management.

  • Internal Controls:

1. Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.

2. Conduct regular audits to assess the effectiveness of financial controls and make improvements as needed.

  • Cash Flow Management:

1. Oversee cash flow planning and management, ensuring that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational needs.

2. Optimize working capital by managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory.

  • Compliance & Taxation:

1. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations and timely filing of tax returns.

2. Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies as necessary.

  • Financial Analysis:

1. Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making and business planning.

2. Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.

  • Team Management:

1. Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

2. Assign tasks, set performance goals, and conduct regular performance evaluations.

  • Systems & Processes:

1. Oversee and improve financial systems, processes, and software to increase efficiency and accuracy.

2. Ensure proper documentation and storage of financial records.

  • Risk Management:

1. Identify and mitigate financial risks through appropriate risk management strategies.

Provide recommendations to senior management on potential financial risks and opportunities.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial modeling.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to influence and drive change.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
