Financial Controller - Analyst

As an Analyst within our Financial Control Team, you will be responsible for defining, refining, and achieving set objectives for our firm on a daily basis. Your key responsibilities will include: - Collaborating with Financial/Legal entity Controllers to prepare and review financial statements across various JP Morgan legal entities and geographies. - Working with different teams to research, escalate, and resolve exceptions to the general ledger and other interfacing systems promptly to maintain the integrity of ledger/risk management systems. - Performing the monthly General Ledger Reconciliation & Substantiation process. - Ensuring compliance with various regulatory reporting requirements during the reporting/month-end close process. - Verifying the appropriateness of reference data for account hierarchies. - Participating in user acceptance tests during projects on system implementation/changes and other business initiatives. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field. - Basic knowledge of industry standards and regulations for US GAAP and/or IFRS Standards. - Strong accounting and finance skills with the ability to analyze numbers effectively. - Good understanding of investment banking products such as Securities, derivatives, etc. - Ability to comprehend data flows and their impacts across the ledger, RMS, and reporting systems, including their interrelationships and dependencies. Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills: - CA/MBAs with at least 1 year of relevant experience (Controller experience is preferred). - Capability to grasp business drivers/requirements and influence partners to deliver solutions to business problems.,
