Job Description

**Role Overview:** As a Business Financial Analyst at General Mills, you will be joining the Global Admin Analytics Team (GAAT) to play a crucial role in leading the Global Admin reporting for plan and estimates, supporting the overall GAAT strategic priorities. Your responsibilities will involve supporting business decisions related to prioritizing and estimating admin spending, including compensation and non-compensation expenses like travel and professional fees. You will work in an expense management team, handling Compensation and Non-compensation levers of expenses to provide essential information to leaders across the globe for making informed investment and resourcing decisions. This role will offer significant cross-functional exposure, the opportunity to develop global business partnership skills, analytical expertise, and reporting capabilities. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform actuals and variance analysis, offering insights to aid in building and informing forecasts, while supporting WHQ GAAT resources and other business partners. - Identify areas of operational efficiencies, understand cost structures, analyze cost drivers, and pinpoint opportunities for cost reduction. - Provide oversight for Monthly Journal entries and year-end close procedures in coordination with ACE. - Proficiency in Data Analysis to collect, analyze, and interpret information for strong mathematical and statistical analysis, partnering with WHQGAAT resources to define key messaging of the financial drivers to the leadership team. - Support projects and improvements for the admin team around plan and reporting (Finance Transformation). - Demonstrate impactful presentation skills, creating and delivering compelling presentations to effectively communicate financial information and recommendations. - Own core data model hierarchies and attributes, define and document related policies, and maintain/adapt as needed. - Provide outstanding global end-user support resolution in a timely, effective manner, ensuring sustainable tools, etc. - Understand the business needs, proactively approach with an Initiative mindset to define process requirements in an evolving process and able to shift priorities quickly when necessary. - Proficiency in using spreadsheet software (Excel) and working knowledge of any financial modeling software is welcomed. - Understand business strategy to drive the right communication to Business Leads to aid strategic decision-making. - Proficient in handling financial systems, forecast tools, and document flows while ensuring strong compliance with internal controls. **Qualification Required:** - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. - Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience with some accounting experience preferred. - Working knowledge of SAP. - High sense of urgency, proactive nature, quick response, and ability to meet deadlines. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
