Financial Analysis - Associate

As a Ficial Analysis Associate in our Fice team, you will spend each day defining, refining, and delivering set goals for our firm. You will partner across the organization to provide ficial and strategic analysis, oversight, and coordination of budgeting and forecasting. Your responsibilities will include ficial control, forecasting and budgeting, analysis of ficial and business metrics, and delivery of weekly, monthly, and quarterly management reporting.

You will analyze, prepare, and reconcile accounting and technical data, as well as prepare reports with a focus on streamlining processes and minimizing cycle times through automation and process improvement. You will help develop recommendations to enhance business procedures and operations, maintain ficial and reporting systems, and support the department and team members with special projects as needed. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of new reporting capabilities and advise line of business CFOs on increasing profitability and efficiencies.

Job responsibilities

• Manage annual and ongoing ficial planning activities for product areas, providing business rationale and decisions for all month-end ficial performance and forecasting.
• Conduct reviews and analysis on product ficial performance, consumption and demand planning, budgeting, billing, trends, and exception reports.
• Report on efficiency, analytics, and strategy, including location strategy, span of control, and other reporting and analytics initiatives.
• Create ficial business cases to support business initiatives.
• Monitor key metrics, drive data quality initiatives across the product area, and help define future needs.
• Develop and track performance metrics, create presentations, and provide ficial analysis on a variety of topics to senior management.
• Perform variance analysis to understand key drivers of results and present commentary to senior managers, explaining changes from prior forecasts and budgets.
• Design new reports and dashboards to efficiently deliver ficial results to senior management.
• Enhance controls and streamline processes, introducing automation where possible.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Fice or a subject of a technical nature
• Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
• Proficiency with data mining/gathering and manipulation of data sets
• Inquisitive, enthusiastic and diligent, and capable of challenging peers
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly
• Ability to create ad hoc reporting for senior management
• Proven track record for executing on special projects / assignments, often with little lead time or information
• Highly motivated and able to thrive and think clearly under pressure and tight deadlines
• Team player with the ability to be respected as a trusted partner for the Business, Fice, and FP&A Teams
• Highly motivated self-starter with excellent time management/prioritization skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to analyze large data sets and present conclusions concisely

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• 3+ years of work experience, preferrably in Ficial Services, and/or accounting/controller background
