Role & responsibilities

hands-on Finance Manager

execute, review, and coordinate

1. Day-to-Day Finance & Accounting

• Handle and review daily entries for purchases, expenses, GRN, production booking, payroll inputs, and vendor accounting.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting data in

  Tally

  (mandatory).
• Coordinate with internal ERP / IT team for updates, corrections, and plant-level master data.
• Monitor working capital at the plant:

  inventory, payables, receivables, cash/bank

  .

2. Monthly Closing & Reporting (MIS)

• Prepare the

  monthly MIS pack

  , including plant P&L, balance sheet schedules, Financial Report, Cash forecast and variance analysis.
• Ensure timely month-end close and submission of all schedules to Goa HO.
• Prepare analytical reports on:
• Utility and energy cost trends
• Production versus standard
• Scrap and wastage
• Yield analysis
• Sales analysis and reporting

3. Inventory, Costing & Controls

• Lead monthly stock-taking and reconciliation activities together with operations.
• Perform costing for raw materials, WIP, and Finished Goods, including variance investigation.
• Track cost changes, and actual manufacturing cost trends.
• Maintain strong internal controls for material movement, store processes, issue notes, and stock adjustments.

4. Hyperion / Consolidation Reporting

• Enter and reconcile monthly numbers into

  Hyperion (HFM)

  as per group timelines.
• Ensure consistency between Tally entries and Hyperion reported numbers.
• Liaise with HO on consolidation adjustments, Ind AS requirements, and reporting analytics.

5. Budgeting & Forecasting

• Prepare annual plant

  budget

  : production/sales volume, cost assumptions, manpower, utilities, capex.
• Prepare

  monthly and quarterly rolling forecasts

  and share with HO.
• Provide commentary on major variances and operational insights.

6. Audit, Compliance & Documentation

• Prepare audit documentation for statutory audit, internal audit, cost audit, and tax audit.
• Support auditors during

  inventory verification

  and

  plant-level walkthroughs

  .
• Ensure compliance with Ind AS basics, company policies, and statutory requirements.

7. Coordination & Support

• Work closely with production, store, sales, purchase, HR, and plant leadership.
• Support HO finance with data for consolidation, PPA and internal reporting.
• Ensure timely flow of information between plant and Goa HO.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on knowledge of

  Tally

  (mandatory).
• Working experience with

  Hyperion

  (HFM) for consolidation (preferred).
• Exposure to

  SAP

  (FI/MM/CO) desirable but not mandatory.
• Strong capability in Excel, MIS preparation, costing and manufacturing accounting.
• Good understanding of Ind AS fundamentals.

Preferred candidate profile

Experience

• 5 - 10 years

  of experience in

  manufacturing / plant finance

  , preferably in mid-size industrial setups.
• Experience in MIS reporting, analysis, inventory accounting, costing and month-end closing is essential.
• Comfortable being hands-on, with the ability to work independently at plant.

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and coordination abilities.
• Detail-oriented, disciplined, and process-driven.
• Able to work under deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive and resourceful in solving plant-level finance issues.
