Finance Inventory Reporting

In this role as the Director of Finance Inventory Reporting at Zepto in Bengaluru, India, you will be a crucial part of the Corporate Finance function. Your main responsibilities will involve managing cost accruals, improving financial controls, leading automation projects for Inventory accounting, and collaborating with various teams to optimize Inventory movement efficiently. Your key responsibilities will include: - Managing cost accrual and book closing processes - Enhancing financial controls through procedural changes - Driving automation initiatives for Inventory accounting - Efficiently managing Inventory movement and optimizing working capital - Overseeing internal and statutory audits and monthly financial reviews - Formulating accounting policies and guidelines in collaboration with Category, Finance Partners, Tech teams, and Supply Chain/Ops To excel in this role, you should be a self-starter with strong technical accounting skills and hands-on experience. Being a Chartered Accountant with at least 7 years of relevant experience is a basic qualification requirement. Proficiency in Excel and preferably SAP knowledge are necessary. Additionally, having knowledge of banking and treasury is advantageous but not mandatory. Preferred qualifications include understanding the retail business or prior experience in a complex retail organization or E-commerce. You should have the ability to develop innovative solutions, work autonomously, and meet tight deadlines while effectively prioritizing workload. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial for success in this role.
