Finance Data Analyst

Role Overview: As a Finance Data Analyst at ATS Corporation, you will be a highly motivated and detail-oriented team member responsible for creating dashboards and providing analytical support directly to the ATS Corporate Finance department. Your role will involve utilizing your knowledge to develop and maintain data visualizations within tools such as Tableau, OneStream, and other platforms. You will also play a key role in identifying continuous improvement opportunities to drive positive change within the organization through dashboarding and analytics. Key Responsibilities: - Develop dashboards and data visualizations in tools like OneStream, Tableau, and others. - Integrate multiple data sources including actual, forecast, and plan data. - Recommend improvements for analytics, dashboards, and visualizations. - Collaborate with Finance and IT teams to define specifications and project plans. - Monitor and resolve dashboard defects and support planning and forecasting enhancements. - Maintain business models, value drivers, KPIs, and benchmarks. - Create dashboards, reports, and project plans for Corporate and divisional use. - Analyze variances between actuals, forecast, and plan data. - Support finance application data integration and provide analysis in response to department inquiries. - Collaborate with Global Finance, business analysts, and system analysts to provide variance commentary and support financial reporting needs. - Ensure consistent application of financial reporting standards and internal policies. Qualification Required: - University degree or college diploma in an IT Software Development discipline such as computer science or mathematics. - Relevant product & technology certifications or proven experience. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field. - Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, OneStream, or similar. - Strong hands-on experience with database performance optimization using SQL, MySQL, or Oracle. - Solid understanding of Extraction, Transforming and Loading processes (ETL), as well as experience with Python for forecasting and problem-solving. - Knowledge of financial systems, accounting principles, and financial planning & analysis. - Ability to work with large datasets and derive insights from complex data structures.
