The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization, including budget planning and implementation, financial reporting, risk management, cash flow management, and compliance with financial regulations. They will work closely with Head of finance to ensure accurate financial data and analysis support decision-making throughout the company. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience in finance or accounting.
1. Develop and maintain budgets for all departments within the organization while ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives.
2. Analyze financial performance metrics on a regular basis and provide insights into trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
3. Implement continuous improvements in financial planning processes to adapt to the evolving needs of the business and industry.
4. Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations, including tax requirements, reporting
standards, and regulatory guidelines.
5. Manage cash flow effectively by forecasting future cash needs, monitoring liquidity levels, and
implementing cash conservation measures when necessary.
6. Collaborate with internal teams such as HR, operations, growth, and IT to optimize financial
processes and systems across the organization.
7. Collaborate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities to facilitate efficient and accurate audits, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements and regulatory standards.
8. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior finance team members, fostering their growth and
development within the department.
9. Support acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, and other significant transactions by evaluating their
financial impact and facilitating smooth integration into the existing financial infrastructure.
10. Work closely with executive leadership to develop long-term financial strategies aimed at sustaining and growing the organization.
CA qualification required
Proven experience of 4 years plus in a finance role, with a track record of controllership.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and best practices.
Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools.
Experience in startups is a plus.
