The Accounting Manager will be responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting under IGAAP and USGAAP, managing direct and indirect taxation, and partnering with internal and external stakeholders to uphold statutory obligations and support business initiatives. This role requires a seasoned finance professional with deep expertise in accounting standards, tax compliance, and operational finance
- Finalize statutory accounts under IGAAP and ensure timely audit readiness
- Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors for seamless audit closure
- Lead the implementation and maintenance of One Source tool for IGAAP reporting
- Prepare reconciliation between IGAAP and USGAAP accounts
- Ensure FLA filing is completed within regulatory timelines
- Liaise with legal and secretarial teams to support ROC filings
- Uphold SOX compliance across accounting functions
- Oversee GST workings, filings, and reconciliations prepared by the Tax Accountant
- Ensure timely and accurate GST returns and compliance
- Collaborate on GST audits, notices, and investigations with consultants
- Negotiate consultant fees and finalize deliverables
- Maintain and update SOPs for GST compliance
- Monitor ERP and SAP configurations for HSN codes, tax rates, and master data accuracy
- Evaluate law changes and implement necessary updates
- Serve as the internal GST subject-matter expert
- Perform advance tax estimation and payment processes
- Prepare segmental P&L for Transfer Pricing documentation
- Calculate TP adjustments and manage intercompany invoicing
- Ensure accurate accounting for tax provisions and deferred taxes under USGAAP. Ensure all the information and reconciliations are updated timely in corporate reporting tool
- Drive compliance for APA agreements and associated documentation
- Oversee filings: Tax Audit, ITR, 3CEB, Master File, CbCR, and Transfer Pricing Study
- Partner with consultants to manage tax assessments and refund claims
- Monitor regulatory changes and update processes accordingly
- Oversee and review the TDS payments and return filing
- Negotiate consultancy agreements and ensure SOX compliance
- Foster strong banking relationships, ensure KYC and other requirements from banks are completed timely
- Coordinate dividend payouts
- Act as local liaison between banks and shared service team for foreign payments, cash application, and EBS uploads
- Coordinate issuance of Bank Guarantees (BGs) for tenders and assist with GR waiverss
- Follow up on legacy fixed deposits held as collateral
- Ensure treasury-specific compliance under SOX
- Act as a strategic bridge between shared service center and local operations
- Provide accounting and tax inputs for cross-functional projects
- Collaborate with FP&A and shared services teams to resolve business queries on management reporting
In-depth knowledge of IGAAP, GST, and Direct Taxation. Proven experience with statutory audit coordination, Transfer Pricing laws and GST
High degree of understanding of SAP or similar ERP systems required, and Blackline experience preferred
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills for interacting with individual team contributors, business partners, and senior management.
Strong analytical and problem-solving background.
Experience in process and project management skills is preferred.
Innovative and able to think both analytically and conceptually.
Fluent (both orally and in writing) in English. Other Spanish and other Asian Languages desirable
Chartered Accountant (CA) / CPA / ACCA, or equivalent degree in accounting and Finance
Minimum 8-12 years in corporate finance and accounting, preferably in a multinational environment;
Minimum 4 years of Supervision Experience Required
High degree of understanding of SAP or similar ERP systems required and Blackline experience preferred
