Film Editor

Job Description – Film Editor – Delhi Based

We are looking for a Film Editor for an upcoming low-budget Indie feature film project, based in Delhi or open to remote collaboration (with availability for in-person discussions during key stages).

This role is ideal for someone who has a strong narrative sense, attention to detail, and proficiency in editing tools and post-production workflows. The Editor will be closely involved from the offline edit stage through the final cut, shaping the rhythm, structure, and emotional arc of the film.

Candidates with experience on indie features, short films, or student projects are welcome to apply. A background from reputed film schools such as FTII, SRFTI, Whistling Woods, AAFT, etc., will be viewed favourably.

Key Responsibilities:

- Organise and manage footage from shoot

- Lead the offline and final edit of the film in collaboration with the Director

- Ensure narrative flow, pacing, and continuity

- Incorporate feedback and execute multiple rounds of revisions

- Coordinate with sound designer, colourist, and VFX team (if any)

- Export final deliverables in required formats

Requirements:

- Based in Delhi NCR or available for regular coordination

- Experience editing narrative fiction – short films, indie features, or student projects

- Proficiency in editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.)

- Strong storytelling skills and understanding of cinematic language

- Ability to manage time effectively and meet post-production deadlines

- Film school
