Field Fiber Technician

Role Description:

• Responsible for

  on-site installation

  of Wi-Fi routers at customer premises.
• Address and resolve

  customer complaints

  by visiting the site and providing

  technical support

  .
• Perform tasks such as

  router configuration

  ,

  switch configuration

  ,

  fiber splicing

  ,

  crimping

  , and

  OTDR handling

  .
• Conduct

  cable pulling

  and ensure proper physical connectivity.
• Maintain

  service quality

  and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime.
• This is a

  field-based role

  and requires extensive travel within assigned locations.

Responsibilities:

• Wi-Fi router and switch configuration
• Fiber splicing and crimping
• OTDR (Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer) operation
• Cable laying and pulling
• On-field customer support and complaint resolution
• Maintain accurate service reports and updates
• Coordinate with backend teams for technical escalations

Eligibility Criteria:

• Education:

  ITI / Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, or a related field

• Experience:

  16 years in a similar

  Field Network Engineer

  or

  Broadband Technician

  role

Skills Required:

• Basic understanding of networking
• Fiber splicing and crimping
• OTDR handling and cable management
• Willingness to work in field-based roles

Additional Requirements:

• Bike and Valid Driving License

• Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently on field
• Should be physically fit and flexible with travel within the specified locations
