Job Description

A Field Executive in the CBSE stream, particularly within the education sector, typically operates in an academic sales or marketing role, building relationships with schools to promote educational products or services. Their work involves field visits, presentations, and account management, all with the goal of increasing market share within CBSE-affiliated institutions.

Responsibilities

Sales and business development

  • Conduct on-site visits to schools to meet with principals, administrators, and coordinators.
  • Promote educational products, services, or programs, such as ed-tech platforms, books, or curriculum solutions, specifically tailored for the CBSE curriculum.
  • Identify new opportunities and acquire new partner schools within a designated territory to meet sales targets.
  • Understand and present product features and benefits, and conduct live demonstrations of educational tools.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales agreements with school management.

Relationship management

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers at schools.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to partner schools.
  • Maintain a healthy relationship with existing customers through consistent follow-ups and service checks.

Market research and reporting

  • Gather market intelligence on competitor activities, pricing, and strategies in the education sector.
  • Utilize fieldwork experience to collect feedback from schools on products and services.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions, often using CRM software.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on sales performance and market insights to management.

Marketing and outreach

  • Distribute and manage marketing materials, such as brochures and posters, to schools.
  • Organize and attend events like workshops, seminars, and educational fairs to promote offerings.
  • Effectively communicate marketing campaigns and promotional offers to potential clients.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Educational background

    : A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Marketing, or Education is often required.
  • Experience

    : Candidates typically need proven experience in field sales or freshers also can apply, preferably within the education or EdTech sector.
