JD Mise-en-place: Preparing ingredients and materials in advance for cooking. Assisting with Complex Dishes: Helping the chef de partie with more intricate dishes and recipes. Supervising Lower-Level Commis: Training and guiding junior commis chefs. Ensuring Sanitation and Quality: Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, as well as monitoring the quality of food and portions.
