Field Engineer - Operations

The role exists to support the operational functioning of our sub-critical units on the field at JSW Energy,

Vijayanagar while coordinating with the desk engineers and shift in charge.

Location : Vijayanagar, Karnataka

Positions Reporting :

Key Result Areas (Key Performance Indicators)

1) Operate field equipment & Systems like BFP, CEP, Lube oil, Jack Oil Systems, ACW/CCW

Systems, Fans & its lube oil System, Coal Mill & its lube oil System, APH, ESP, Generator Seal

oil & Stator water System, DEH & HPLP Bypass System, comprising trial run of equipment,

filter changeover, lube oil cooler changeover, valves stroking/operations.

2) Operate Bottom Ash Hopper & Soot Blowing.

3) Operate in Balance of Plant (DM Plant, Coal handling plant) like bunker filling, ash

evacuation in Ash Handling Plant.

4) Operate Fuel oil system like HFO, LDO Checking & Unloading, CW System, Cooling Tower,

Blast Furnace Gas system purging, seal pots flushing and operations.

5) Operate Switch yard activities related to Compressor, moisture draining, Compressor auto

cut in, cut off checking.

6) Monitor parameters, notifying and writing Log book.

7) Perform operation during startup & shut Down, during different starts (cold, warm & hot),

planned & emergency shut down.

8) Perform normal operations of BTG, changeover of equipment, protection & interlocks.

9) Coordinate effectively with DCS Engineer on Do's & Donts of Operation.

10) Ensure the upkeep of the area.

11) Make Safety observation and ensure proper ventilation and lighting.

Educational Background and Work Experience

Educational Background:

• Diploma in Engineering

• PGDC, National Power Training Institute (if Available)

• No back while pursuing their qualification

Work Experience:

• 2-5 years in at least 50MW Thermal Power Sector
