Fiber Optic Engineer

As a Fiber Optic Engineer, you will be responsible for the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of FTTx networks with a deep understanding of OTDR, EPON, and GPON technologies. Your role will involve designing, implementing, and maintaining FTTx infrastructure using EPON/GPON technologies. You will be required to perform OTDR testing, fiber splicing, and fault localization to ensure optimal network performance. Key Responsibilities: - Plan fiber routes, prepare technical documentation, and manage fiber assignments - Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance for fiber optic networks - Analyze fiber signal performance using OTDR and power meters - Monitor and troubleshoot last-mile fiber connectivity issues - Work closely with vendors, contractors, and internal teams for project coordination - Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards - Maintain accurate records of fiber routes, splicing diagrams, and testing reports - Assist in network expansion, fiber upgrade projects, and capacity planning Qualifications Required: - Diploma/Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field - Minimum of 2 years of experience in fiber optic network deployment and maintenance - Proficiency in OTDR testing and analysis - Hands-on experience with EPON/GPON technologies - Familiarity with fiber splicing tools and fiber route management - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and fiber schematics - Willingness to work in the field and travel when required - Basic knowledge of IP networking and Layer 2/3 concepts is a plus If you are a skilled and experienced Fiber Optic Engineer looking to contribute to the growth and success of our team, we encourage you to apply.,
