Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Operate FBE coating equipment as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Monitor and control pre-heating, powder spray, curing, and cooling stages of the coating process.
Ensure correct pipe surface preparation including cleaning, blasting, and inspection before coating.
Apply coating thickness checks and perform holiday (defect) detection tests.
Record operational data including temperatures, coating thickness, and line speed.
Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or coating defects.
Assist in maintenance and calibration of coating equipment.
Ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards during operation.
Support QA/QC teams during inspections and audits.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, or related field.
13 years of experience as an FBE Operator or in a pipe coating environment (preferred).
Knowledge of FBE coating process and associated equipment.

Key Skills:

Understanding of FBE coating principles, surface preparation, and quality control methods.
Familiarity with measuring tools such as DFT gauges, thermometers, and holiday detectors.
Ability to read and follow work instructions and technical specifications.
Strong safety awareness and teamwork skills.
Willingness to work in shifts and physically demanding environments.
