JOB DESCRIPTIONPosition: Guest Service Associate – F&B Service (Male)
Department: Food & Beverage
Reports To: F&B Supervisor / Restaurant Manager
Location: Gokulam Grand Turtle on the Beach, Kovalam, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

1. Job Summary

The Guest Service Associate (GSA) – F&B Service is responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences by providing warm, efficient, and personalized service to all guests. The role includes taking orders, serving food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring guest satisfaction in accordance with hotel standards.

2. Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Service

  • Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables.
  • Present menus, explain specials, and assist guests in menu selection.
  • Take accurate orders and ensure timely service of food and beverages.
  • Handle guest requests and complaints professionally, ensuring immediate follow-up.
  • Maintain high levels of hospitality, grooming, and communication at all times.

Operational Tasks

  • Set up restaurant tables, buffets, and service stations as per standards.
  • Serve food and beverages according to the sequence of service.
  • Clear tables and ensure smooth table turnover.
  • Assist in billing and cashiering procedures as needed.
  • Follow all SOPs, hygiene practices, and safety regulations.

Cleanliness & Hygiene

  • Ensure the dining area, cutlery, glassware, and equipment are clean and well-maintained.
  • Follow HACCP and FSSAI guidelines.
  • Maintain personal hygiene and grooming standards as per hotel policies.

Teamwork & Coordination

  • Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service flow.
  • Attend daily briefings and training sessions.
  • Support colleagues during peak hours and special events.

3. Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of food & beverage service techniques.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work under pressure during high-volume operations.
  • Positive attitude, discipline, and willingness to learn.

4. Qualifications

  • Degree in Hotel Management or Diploma in Hotel Management or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 0–2 years of experience in F&B service (freshers with good attitude can also apply).
  • Good command of English and local languages.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹16,000.00 per month
