Fashion Designer - Healthcare Wearables

Role Overview: As a Fashion Designer for healthcare and performance wearables, your main responsibility will be to create garments that are not only visually appealing but also have functional design and ergonomic aesthetics, specifically tailored to the requirements of the healthcare industry. You will collaborate closely with textile engineers, product designers, and other stakeholders to develop stylish and practical garments suitable for daily usage. Key Responsibilities: - Designing functional and fashionable healthcare wearables for everyday wear. - Collaborating with textile engineers, product designers, and other stakeholders to gain insights into specific use-cases. - Selecting appropriate materials and construction techniques for seamless product integration. - Developing tech packs, mood boards, and garment prototypes. - Ensuring every design prioritizes comfort, durability, and ease of donning/doffing. - Assisting in user testing to gather feedback on fit and functionality. - Working with vendors and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturing processes (DFM - design for manufacturing). Qualifications Required: - Possess a degree in Fashion Design or a related field. - Demonstrate a strong understanding of functional design, textile innovation, and ergonomic aesthetics. - Previous experience in designing garments for healthcare or performance wearables is advantageous. - Proficient in creating tech packs, mood boards, and garment prototypes. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively engage with cross-functional teams.,
