Job Description – Fashion Designer

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Fashion Designer to join our apparel manufacturing team. The ideal candidate should have strong design skills, an understanding of fabrics and garment construction, and the ability to translate client requirements into commercially viable designs and samples.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop fresh designs, concepts, and style boards based on brand direction and client needs.
• Create tech packs, measurement sheets, detailed sketches, and artwork for production.
• Coordinate with sampling teams for proto, fit, and PP samples, ensuring designs are executed accurately.
• Select appropriate fabrics, trims, embroideries, and surface techniques suitable for each style.
• Review samples for fit, construction, detailing, and finishing before approvals.
• Work closely with merchandisers to understand client requirements and design accordingly.
• Conduct trend research, market analysis, and seasonal forecasting to bring new ideas.
• Modify designs as per client feedback and production constraints.
• Ensure designs are practical for bulk manufacturing, cost-efficient, and technically feasible.
• Maintain a library of references, swatches, trims, and ongoing designs.
• Support during client meetings, presentations, and styling sessions.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Fashion Design from a recognized institute.
• 2–5 years of experience in apparel design (women’s wear, men’s wear, or ethnic/fusion preferred).
• Strong sketching ability (hand or digital) and understanding of garment construction.
• Excellent knowledge of fabrics, dyeing, printing, embroidery, and trims.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CoralDraw, or other design tools.
• Ability to work under timelines and handle multiple styles.
• Creative mindset with attention to detail and strong visualization skills.
