Fashion Designer

As a Fashion Designer at AKH Labs, a Direct to Consumer Brand House focused on developing exceptional direct-to-consumer brands, you will have the exciting opportunity to lead the creative direction of our rapidly growing fashion vertical, particularly in outerwear and accessories. Your primary responsibility will be to conceptualize and design seasonal and core collections for jackets and backpacks in alignment with our brand's vision and current market trends. You will immerse yourself in thorough research on fashion trends, materials, color palettes, and emerging technologies relevant to outerwear and bags. Utilizing your expertise in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, you will create detailed sketches and illustrations to bring your designs to life. Additionally, you will be required to develop comprehensive technical packages for manufacturers, including detailed specifications, garment construction details, bill of materials, and measurement charts. As part of your role, you will be responsible for researching, identifying, and sourcing innovative fabrics, trims, and hardware that meet our quality and aesthetic standards. You will collaborate closely with manufacturers and pattern makers to oversee the development of samples, lead fit sessions, and provide feedback for revisions. Ensuring that all products meet our brand's high standards for quality, fit, and construction will be a crucial aspect of your role. You will work in close collaboration with the founder and the team to maintain a cohesive brand message across all products. The qualifications and skills required for this role include a Bachelor's degree, high proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, a strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and technical specifications, excellent sketching and design presentation skills, knowledge of fabrics, materials, and hardware suitable for jackets and backpacks, a keen eye for detail, proportion, and color, and the ability to work independently and manage projects from concept to completion. While not mandatory, experience working with overseas and domestic manufacturers, knowledge of 3D design software, and an interest in sustainable and innovative materials would be beneficial for this role.,
