Fashion Designer

Job Description:
We’re looking for a passionate Designer to join our creative team at Akashi. The role involves working closely with the founder and design team to develop textile-led collections that reflect the brand’s philosophy of simplicity, detail, and craft.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop seasonal collections from concept to final samples in line with Akashi’s design language.
• Research and source fabrics, embroideries, and surface techniques relevant to each collection.
• Create mood boards, sketches, and technical drawings for design development.
• Collaborate with artisans, pattern makers, and production teams to ensure precision and quality.
• Experiment with silhouettes, textures, and embroidery placements to bring fresh ideas to the table.
• Assist in fittings, corrections, and sampling processes.
• Stay updated with textile trends, craft techniques, and evolving design directions in Indian and global markets.
• Maintain organized design archives, fabric swatches, and reference documentation.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Degree in Fashion Design or Textile Design.
• 1–3 years of experience in a designer label (exceptional fresh graduates may also apply).
• Strong knowledge of textiles, fabrics, embroidery, and garment construction.
• Creative eye for detail, silhouette balance, and color composition.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or hand sketching.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Passion for Indian craftsmanship and sustainable design practices.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
