Role & responsibilities

The Head of Production is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of production operations, ensuring the achievement of daily, weekly, monthly, and annual production targets. This role requires close coordination with multiple departments, including Quality Assurance, Engineering, and technical teams, to maintain product quality, operational efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards. The position also entails workforce management, continuous improvement initiatives, and adherence to environmental, health, and safety (EHS)

requirements.

Production Planning Execution:

Achieve production targets as per the defined plan.

Ensure seamless transition from one stage to another within the planned cycle time. Control and monitor production operations to meet customer requirements. Manage the day-to-day running of operations within the value stream with core team. Core team includes Operations, Engineering, QA, Enterprise Excellence, Materials & Demand Fulfillments. Ensures driving to meet operational goals and KPIs for safety, quality, service, and people. Maintain the daily cadence of Shift Huddles, Daily Gemba, Daily Management meeting, and monthly Strategy meeting. Ensures customer requirements of quality are translated into production plans and visible throughout the shopfloor.

Plan resources to achieve production schedules (FPS) issued by Demand Fulfillments.

Preferred candidate profile

BE/BTech Masters degree in Engineering, Production Management, or a related field. Minimum of 15 years of experience in a manufacturing facility, leadership role overseeing production or operations with large team handling experience Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage teams effectively.
