Facilities Maintenance Technician

Role Overview: As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, which includes electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment. Your duties will involve inspecting facilities regularly to identify safety, structural, or maintenance issues. It is essential for you to respond to service requests promptly and efficiently troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems. Additionally, you will be required to conduct basic electrical work, coordinate with external vendors, maintain accurate maintenance logs, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Key Responsibilities: - Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems - Inspect facilities regularly to identify safety, structural, or maintenance issues - Respond to service requests and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems efficiently - Conduct basic electrical work and assist with low-voltage systems - Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or projects - Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and equipment documentation - Monitor building automation systems and respond to alarms or alerts - Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies - Assist with minor construction, carpentry, and painting tasks - Support emergency preparedness efforts, including backup power and fire systems maintenance Qualifications: - ITI/Diploma in electrical - Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics - Familiarity with safety protocols and building codes Additional Details: The job is based in Ernakulam, Kerala and requires reliable commuting or relocation before starting work.
