Fabricator/Welder

Responsibilities

• Interpret Technical Documents: Read, understand, and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and work orders to determine project requirements and specifications.
• Material Preparation: Measure, mark, and lay out cutting lines on materials such as steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
• Fabrication and Cutting: Operate fabrication machinery, including shears, press brakes, saws (band, chop), plasma cutters, and grinders, to cut and shape materials to the required dimensions.
• Welding and Assembly: Assemble and join components using various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) and fastening methods (bolting, riveting).
• Finishing: Perform finishing tasks such as grinding, sanding, deburring, and polishing to ensure products meet quality and aesthetic standards.
• Quality Control: Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments (tape measures, calipers, micrometers, square gauges) to ensure all parts and assemblies meet strict tolerances and quality standards.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure they are in safe and efficient working order. Report any malfunctions or needs for repair.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols, procedures, and policies. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule.

Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. A vocational or technical degree in welding or fabrication is a plus
• Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a Fabricator or in a similar role
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques, including MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), and/or Stick (SMAW)
• Hands-on experience operating fabrication equipment such as press brakes, shears, rollers, and saws.
• Solid understanding of metal properties and characteristics.
• Excellent mathematical skills, including geometry and measurement calculations.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, precise work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Ability to lift and move heavy materials, often up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
• Must be able to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
• Requires good manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and physical strength.
• The work environment is a workshop/manufacturing setting and may involve exposure to loud noises, dust, fumes, and varying temperatures.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, steel-toed boots, gloves, and welding helmets, is required and will be provided.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
