External Reporting Controller - Country Risk

Role Overview: As a Country Risk Controller at JPMorgan Chase, you play a pivotal role in maintaining the strength and resilience of the company by anticipating and addressing new and emerging risks. You will be part of the Risk Controller team responsible for ensuring the integrity of risk data disclosed in external financial reporting. Your expertise and analysis will contribute to well-informed decision-making across Risk Management & Compliance and the Office of the CFO. Key Responsibilities: - Execute controls such as reconciliations, independent reviews, and variance analysis to support internal and external reporting (e.g., SEC 10Q/K, FR Y-14Q CCAR). - Collaborate with various stakeholders to investigate and resolve variances. - Support Risk Executives by presenting control metrics and leading review meetings. - Implement the team agenda, identify areas for improvement, and build partnerships across the firm. - Develop Business Intelligence Solutions to enhance data processing and analytical capabilities. - Think creatively, challenge the status quo, and deliver results across strategic objectives. - Collaborate with technology teams to provide business requirements for strategic initiatives. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree or higher with a minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience in the financial services or investment banking sector. - Prior experience in risk analysis and reporting, trade support or middle office, and financial accounting would be advantageous. - Strong sense of ownership, ability to work independently, and produce high-quality work within tight deadlines. - Ability to convey information clearly, accurately, and succinctly, both in writing and verbally. - Proven ability to work across diverse groups, build consensus, and execute agreed-upon plans. - Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office applications.
