KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct
patentability searches, freedom-to-operate (FTO) analysis,
and identify grounds for invalidation of formulation and product-based patents.
Carry out
literature and patent searches
using various databases and public patent office portals
Conduct and prepare comprehensive technical and patent literature reviews to support invention disclosures, FTO analysis, and patent drafting activities
Assist in
invention disclosure drafting
and IP due diligence for product pipeline planning.
Preparation of patent landscape reports
for identified products to aid R&D
Assist in
drafting and reviewing patent specifications
, claims, and
responses to office
actions in coordination with internal stakeholders and external attorneys.
Prepare
patent clearance (FTO) reports
at different stages of product development lifecycle.
Ensure
docketing and record management
of filed patent applications, deadlines, and legal documentation.
Evaluate and support
ANDA and 505(b)(2)
strategies for IP risk assessment and exclusivity evaluation.
Monitor competitor patent activity and publications; identify white spaces and gaps for potential innovation.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Proficiency in various patent search and analysis tools
Good understanding of patent laws across India, US, Europe, and semi-regulated markets.
Knowledge of regulatory pathways such as ANDA, 505(b)(2), Hatch-Waxman.
Strong organization, prioritization and planning skills.
