Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Packaging Development

• Lead NPD packaging development from concept to implementation

• Develop packaging specifications, artworks & technical documents

Trials & Compliance

• Conduct packaging trials, performance & regulatory tests

• Ensure compliance with FSSAI, Legal Metrology & sustainability norms

Vendor Development

• Evaluate & qualify suppliers; drive cost optimization initiatives

Factory Coordination

• Support packaging rollouts & coordinate with plant teams

Artwork & Cross-Functional Support

• Collaborate with Marketing, QA, Purchase & Production

• Handle packaging-related complaints & drive corrective actions

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of:

Packaging material specifications
Packaging testing methods (burst, drop test, seal strength, migration, WVTR, etc.)
BOM creation, SAP/ERP exposure
Costing & value engineering
Packaging line trials, machinability, stability studies
Printing processes (Flexo, Rotogravure, Offset, Digital)

Educational Qualification

Must:
B.Sc. / Diploma / Graduate with Packaging-related experience
Preferred:

B.Tech / B.E. in Packaging Technology
M.Sc. (Packaging), PG Diploma in Packaging (IIP)
Courses in Printing Technology / Material Science
