Executive Organic Farming and Plantations

As an Executive in Organic Farming and Plantations at Environmental Resources Foundation (ERF), your role will involve overseeing daily agricultural operations at a 12-acre farm in Tirunelveli. The farm is being developed for high-density farming of wood, herbs, fruits, and vegetables using organic and natural farming practices. You will be responsible for implementing sustainable farming techniques, monitoring crop health, managing soil and nutrient levels, and supervising farm workers. Your duties will also include procuring inputs, establishing relationships with product buyers, and ensuring compliance with regulations and sustainability standards. Key Responsibilities: - Implement organic farming practices for high-density farming of wood, herbs, fruits, and vegetables - Plan and execute sustainable farming techniques - Monitor crop health and manage soil and nutrient levels - Supervise farm workers and manage plantation operations - Coordinate with stakeholders and ensure compliance with regulations and sustainability standards Qualifications Required: - Skills in crop planning, soil management, and pest control - Ability to manage plantation operations and labor workforce - Experience with agricultural machinery and tools - Strong project management and organizational skills - Good communication and team collaboration skills in Tamil and English - Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Sustainable Farming, or related fields - Commitment to sustainable practices and environmental stewardship Preference will be given to candidates who have an understanding of digital technologies and experience in organic farming, especially in fruits and vegetables.,
