Job Purpose

Bill of Entry (BOE)

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file

  Bills of Entry (BOE)

  in ICEGATE/Customs systems (Home Consumption, Warehousing, Ex-Bond, etc.).
• Verify import documents such as:
• Commercial Invoice
• Packing List
• Airway Bill / Bill of Lading
• Import License, COO, FTA certificates (if applicable)
• Ensure correct

  HSN classification

  , duty structure, exemptions, and notifications.
• Coordinate with

  Customs Brokers (CHA)

  , shipping lines, airlines, and internal stakeholders.
• Track BOE status and follow up for

  assessment, duty payment, and clearance

  .
• Handle

  duty calculation, reconciliation

  , and record maintenance.
• Support customs queries, amendments, re-assessments, and audit requirements.
• Maintain proper documentation and digital records as per compliance standards.
• Ensure adherence to

  Customs Act, DGFT, FTP, and FTWZ regulations

  .
• Coordinate with warehouse and transport teams for timely cargo movement post-clearance.
• Support internal and external

  customs audits

  and compliance reviews.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of

  Customs procedures and BOE filing

• Familiarity with

  ICEGATE, WMS, ERP systems

• Understanding of

  HS codes, duty structure, exemptions

• Good coordination and communication skills
• High attention to detail and documentation accuracy
• Ability to work under time-sensitive operations

Preferred candidate profile

Educational Qualification

Customs certification or EXIM-related training preferred
