Executive Costing

Position: Executive Costing

Responsibilities:

• Conduct cost analysis and prepare cost estimates for new and existing products, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established standards.
• Prepare cost sheets / Validate cost sheets of all products, thoroughly understand the cost components and certify cost sheets.
• Prepare cost details including standard costing for factory and initiate discussion, analyze standard cost and actual cost.
• Analyze SAP costing & validate cost routings configured in SAP system.
• Validate SAP BOM cost, Activity cost to ensure WIPs and FG are valued properly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and information required for cost calculations.
• Monitor and analyze actual costs against budgeted costs, identifying and investigating any discrepancies or variances.
• Prepare and maintain cost report, providing management with insightful analysis and recommendations for cost optimization.
• Assist in the development and implementation of cost control measures and procedures to enhance efficiency and profitability.
• Conduct regular inventory audits, reconciling physical stock with system records and identifying any discrepancies.
• Stay updated with industry trends and changes in costing methodologies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering their professional growth and development.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 to 6 years of experience in a similar role within a Textile Industry is preferable.
• B.COM / M.COM / MBA (Finance) / CMA is preferred.
• Knowledge/ Experience in SAP costing is an added advantage.
• In-depth knowledge of cost accounting principles and methodologies in a Textile environment.
• Proficient in using cost accounting software and MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring precise cost calculations and reporting.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings to management.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, prioritizing tasks effectively.
