Job Description

To provide nutritionally adequate, quality food to all patients, considering their food preferences
To ensure that patients get the diet in accordance with the prevalent clinical protocols and advice of the consultant
To visit patients in the wards once daily, discussing their dietary problems and give them advice. Planning of diet on the basis of RDA for all medical conditions etc.
To prepare diet chart for walk in, follow-up & referral patients and IPD patients
Does the Nutritional assessment and reassessment of the Inpatients.
Does the Nutritional assessment and monitoring of critically ill Patient like Transplant Patients (especially Liver Transplant, Bone Marrow Transplant and Kidney Transplant etc).
Does the Food tasting of the in- patient meal
To perform any other duties as assigned by the immediate seniors
Coordinates with nurses, F&B companion, consultants to ensure effective nutritional management of the Patient.
To attend medical camps/talks
Documentation and maintenance of adequate records.
Ensure compliance with the laid down department process and guidelines.
At any time if required menu can be changed and if food is not of the set standard and quality, it can be remade.
Participates /Attends the inter and interdepartmental training
Keep abreast with latest research, development and technique in the field.
