Job Description

As an Assistant Warehouse Manager at The Sleep Company, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Warehouse Manager to ensure the smooth, efficient, and accurate handling of inventory, dispatches, and receipts. Your hands-on experience in warehouse management systems, people management, and process improvement will be essential in upholding our commitment to quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: - Warehouse Operations Management - Supervise inbound and outbound logistics to ensure timely receipt and dispatch of goods. - Monitor daily warehouse activities, including material handling, storage, and stock accuracy. - Maintain compliance with safety and housekeeping standards across the warehouse. - Inventory Control - Oversee inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and system reconciliations. - Coordinate with the supply chain and production teams to maintain optimal stock levels. - Identify and proactively resolve inventory discrepancies. - People & Process Management - Lead and train warehouse staff to ensure adherence to company SOPs and productivity goals. - Support workforce planning, including shift scheduling and manpower deployment. - Drive continuous improvement in processes to enhance warehouse efficiency. - Systems & Reporting - Utilize ERP/WMS systems for inventory tracking, GRN, dispatch, and stock management. - Prepare and share periodic reports on warehouse performance metrics such as TAT, accuracy, and shrinkage. - Support audits and compliance requirements. - Coordination & Communication - Collaborate with logistics, production, and customer service teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment. - Address and promptly resolve operational bottlenecks or escalations. Requirements: - Graduate in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (MBA preferred). - 4-7 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in manufacturing, FMCG, or e-commerce. - Experience with ERP/WMS systems (SAP/S4HANA experience preferred). - Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills. - Hands-on experience in dispatch planning, inventory accuracy, and manpower management.,
