Job Description

on-premises Exchange servers

Key Responsibilities:

Administer and maintain
Microsoft Exchange Server (on-premises environment)
.
Manage mailboxes, distribution groups, and permissions.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot email flow and connectivity issues.
Implement security best practices for email systems, including spam filtering and data loss prevention.
Perform regular backups and disaster recovery planning.
Collaborate with IT teams for integration with Active Directory and other services.
Apply patches, updates, and upgrades to Exchange environments.

Key Technical Stack / Skill Areas:

Microsoft Exchange Server (2013/2016/2019)
Active Directory & DNS Administration
Email Archiving Systems
PowerShell Scripting (Advanced)
Windows Server Administration (2012/2016/2019)

Additional Skill Areas:

VMWare (vCenter/ESXi)
Remote Desktop Services
Monitoring & Patch Tools
Change Management (ITIL)
Strong Communication & Documentation Skills

Required Skills & Qualifications:

812 years of experience in Microsoft Exchange administration.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Exchange Server (2016/2019).
Strong understanding of Active Directory, DNS, and SMTP protocols.
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and administration.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-100, MS-101, or Exchange-specific certifications).
Experience with email security solutions and compliance policies.
