ETL Testing/QA Engineer

Job Description

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced ETL Testing / QA Engineer with a strong background in data warehousing, ETL processes, and banking domain expertise . The candidate will be responsible for validating data integration and transformation processes, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with cross-regional teams to resolve data and code issues efficiently. Experience : 7 + Years Location: Hyderabad Key Responsibilities Perform ETL testing and validation of data workflows within data warehousing environments. Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases to validate ETL processes, transformations, and data quality. Conduct SQL querying and debugging to validate data correctness and integrity. Collaborate with development, data engineering, and business teams to identify and troubleshoot data issues. Validate data-readiness and quality by identifying , analyzing, and addressing data inconsistencies or defects. Work closely with stakeholders across APAC, EMEA, and NA regions to identify root causes of data/code issues and implement permanent solutions. Use defect tracking tools like JIRA and Xray for managing test cases and defects. Prepare test documentation and reports to communicate testing progress and results effectively. Required Skills: 7+ years of hands-on experience in ETL Testing , with strong expertise in SQL and debugging. Solid understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and ETL tools such as Talend Cloud Data Integration , Pentaho/Kettle , or similar. Experience with Snowflake data platform and concepts around data lakes and cloud data warehousing. Working knowledge of Azure cloud and testing in Azure environments is a plus. Familiarity with Qlik Replicate and Compose tools (Change Data Capture) is considered an advantage. Strong exposure to banking/financial services domain (mandatory). Experience in defect and test management tools like JIRA and Xray . Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills. Exposure to third-party financial data providers such as
