ETL Testing Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform

  ETL testing

  including source-to-target data validation, transformation testing, and data completeness checks.
• Validate

  data extraction, transformation logic, and loading processes

  from multiple source systems into data warehouses.
• Write and execute

  complex SQL queries

  to validate data accuracy, integrity, and performance.
• Conduct

  data reconciliation

  and identify data discrepancies.
• Perform

  regression, system, and integration testing

  for ETL pipelines.
• Automate ETL test cases using

  Python

  where applicable.
• Validate data quality rules such as

  null checks, duplicate checks, referential integrity, and data type validations

  .
• Collaborate with data engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand business rules.
• Log, track, and retest defects using defect management tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, etc.).
• Prepare

  test plans, test cases, and test summary reports

  .

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in

  ETL Testing and Data Warehouse Testing

  .
• Excellent knowledge of

  SQL (complex joins, subqueries, CTEs, performance tuning)

  .
• Strong hands-on experience with

  Python for data validation and automation

  .
• Experience with ETL tools such as

  Informatica, Talend, DataStage, SSIS, or similar

  .
• Solid understanding of

  Data Warehousing concepts

  (Star/Snowflake schema, Fact & Dimension tables).
• Experience testing

  large datasets

  and handling data volumes.
• Knowledge of

  data quality, data reconciliation, and transformation rules

  .
