ETL Test Automation Engineer

As an ETL Test Automation Engineer at Barclays, you will play a crucial role in revolutionizing the digital landscape, ensuring exceptional customer experiences by leveraging cutting-edge technology. You will work alongside a team of developers to deliver a robust technology stack, utilizing your strong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand business requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and execute testing strategies to validate functionality, performance, and user experience. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects, continuously improve testing processes, and ensure software quality and reliability. - Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies to validate software functionality and compliance with quality standards. - Create and execute automated test scripts using testing frameworks and tools to detect defects and quality issues early. - Analyze requirements, participate in design discussions, and contribute to the development of acceptance criteria. - Perform root cause analysis for identified defects and work closely with developers to support defect resolution. - Participate in code reviews, promote a culture of code quality, and facilitate knowledge sharing. - Stay updated on industry technology trends and innovations, actively contributing to the organization's technology communities. **Qualifications Required:** - Experience in programming languages like Java. - Familiarity with frameworks such as Karate and Rest-assured. - Proficiency in working with databases like Oracle, MariaDB, and SQL. - Knowledge of tools like Postman and Insomnia. - Experience with defect management tools like JIRA and X-ray. - Familiarity with version control systems like Git and Bitbucket. This role is based out of Pune.
