ETL QA Engineer

As an ETL Tester with substantial hands-on experience in advanced SQL and Python, your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - Design, develop, and execute comprehensive ETL test cases and scenarios. - Write and optimize advanced SQL queries for data validation, transformation, and troubleshooting. - Collaborate with development teams to understand business and data transformation requirements. - Validate large volumes of data across multiple sources and targets using advanced SQL. - Develop automation scripts in Python for ETL testing and process streamlining. - Analyze, report, and track defects; recommend solutions. - Participate in Agile/Scrum processes and provide expertise throughout the test life cycle. In order to be successful in this role, you should possess the following required skills and qualifications: - 3+ years of hands-on experience in ETL testing or related roles. - Strong command of advanced SQL (complex joins, window functions, query optimization, data analysis). - Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation. - Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, DataStage, SSIS) is a plus. - QA professionals or Data/ETL developers with hardcore SQL expertise are welcome. - Ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and validate large datasets. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Please note that this is a hybrid role, requiring you to work 23 days per week in the office in Downtown Toronto, with the remaining days working from home.,
