Job Title: Estimation Engineer – Fire Fighting Systems

Location: Pune
Department: Estimation / Tendering
Reports To: Estimation Manager / Project Head

Job Purpose

To prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for fire fighting, fire alarm, and related life safety system projects by analysing tender documents, drawings, specifications, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Study tender documents, drawings, BOQ, and technical specifications related to fire fighting systems (sprinklers, hydrants, pumps, suppression systems, etc.).
• Prepare detailed quantity take-off (QTO) and material requirement sheets.
• Evaluate supplier & subcontractor quotations, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
• Estimate material, labour, equipment, and subcontracting costs.
• Prepare techno-commercial proposals and submit tenders within deadlines.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams for accurate inputs.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client clarifications.
• Value engineer solutions to optimize costs while maintaining compliance with NFPA, IS, NBC, and local fire norms.
• Maintain updated knowledge of market prices, vendor lists, and industry practices.
• Support management in negotiations and project handover after award.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of fire fighting systems: Hydrant, Sprinkler, Hose reel, Pumping system, Foam & Gas suppression, Fire alarm integration.
• Proficiency in reading drawings, BOQ, and tender documents.
• Good negotiation & vendor management skills.
• Strong analytical and numerical ability.
• MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation/tendering software proficiency.
• Familiarity with codes: NFPA, IS, NBC, TAC, and local authority regulations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience: 2–8 years (for mid-level role) in estimation/tendering for Fire Fighting / MEP projects.
• Prior experience with contractors, EPC firms, or fire safety system providers preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
