Job profile - Estimation Engineer

Role & responsibilities

). Sending enquires and getting quotes for Desmet property fabricated vessels (i.e., Pressure vessels, Distillation Columns, Reactors, Hopper, Filters, Storage tanks and Ducts) from designated workshops

2). Sending enquires and getting quotes for bought out items likes Vacuum System, Centrifugal Pumps, Plate Heat Exchanger, Shell & Tube Heat Exchanger, Packing Materials, Centrifugal Fans, Compressor, Geared Motors etc. from designated vendors/suppliers

3). Revalidating the prices with workshops/vendors/suppliers for similar equipments.

4). Internal estimation for critical equipments likes Deodorizer, Bleachers, Reactors, Distillation Columns, storage tanks etc.

5). Follow up and interaction with electrical department for electrical and instrumentation pricing.

6). Providing prices for major or any equipments of Solvent Extraction Plant (SEP), Refinery, Fractionation, Hydrogenation to Local and Export sales team to prepare quotation as and when required.

7). Estimation the vessel prices for expansion projects as and when required.

8). Updating the prices of standard mobilizer, Winwax Filter and Sublimator on regular basis.

9). Weight estimation of critical equipments for layout purpose.

10). Understand the work requirement from Proposal/Sales Manager and act accordingly

Knowledge/Exposure:

1. Experience in estimation of Storage tanks, cylindrical vessels with dished ends, pressure vessels, distillation columns, reactors, crystallizers, heat exchangers, pumps, boilers, gear boxes and geared motors etc.

2. Knowledge on fabrication process such as plate cutting, plate rolling, formation of dish end and cone, coil bending process, welding, drilling, machining, material testing etc.

3. Knowledge of Vacuum System, Centrifugal Pumps, Plate Heat Exchanger, Shell & Tube Heat Exchanger, Packing Materials, Centrifugal Fans, Compressor, Geared Motors

4. Ability to read Fabrication drawings, General Assembly drawings, Plant layout, Process & Instruments Drawing (PID) etc.

5. Knowledge about piping codes and standards such as ANSI, ASME, DIN, EN etc.,

6. Knowledge of pipes, pipe fittings, valves, and other piping accessories.

7. Knowledge of static and dynamic equipments.

Preferred candidate profile

experience from process plant manufacturing industries / process plant fabrication workshops.
