ESS Project Controller - CCC

As a Financial Analyst at Hitachi Energy, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting business performance to drive strategic decision-making. Your responsibilities will include: - Performing analysis of business performance against budget and forecast to identify areas of improvement. - Conducting benchmarking of key performance indicators with external and internal peers to assess competitiveness. - Collaborating with Local controllers to analyze financial performance drivers and trends, proposing value-added solutions. - Preparing financial analysis for various scenarios and sensitivity analysis to evaluate their impact on business units. - Analyzing overhead under/over absorption, determining root causes for corrective actions. - Evaluating Product/Customer profitability to optimize revenue streams. - Tracking and analyzing Capital Expenditure budget and actual spending on a monthly basis. - Analyzing inventories, Net Working Capital (NWC), and Cashflow to optimize financial resources. - Supporting month-end closure activities to ensure financial accuracy. - Reviewing Profit and Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet (B/S) statements and recommending necessary corrections. - Analyzing monthly data for Management Information System (MIS) reports and presenting in a meaningful format. - Performing activities related to internal controls and SOX audit compliance. - Comparing monthly/quarterly MIS data with benchmarks and providing insightful comments. - Assisting in the preparation of financial reports, business planning, budgeting, and forecasting. - Validating the accuracy of financial data through reconciliation and exception reviews. - Handling any other ad-hoc assignments based on urgency and requirements.
