Job Description

Job Summary:

ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Senior Consultant

Key Responsibilities:

Lead ESG assessments, gap analyses, and maturity evaluations for clients across industries.
Design and implement ESG strategies aligned with stakeholder expectations and industry best practices.
Support clients in developing sustainability/ESG reports compliant with GRI, SASB, TCFD, CDP, BRSR, and other frameworks.
Guide companies through ESG ratings and benchmarking processes (MSCI, Sustainalytics, etc.).
Conduct materiality assessments and stakeholder engagement.
Assist in ESG data collection, performance monitoring, and KPI development.
Keep abreast of ESG-related regulatory developments (SEBI, EU CSRD, etc.) and integrate them into client advisory.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as legal, risk, finance, and operations.
Mentor junior consultants and support internal ESG knowledge building.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, Public Policy, or related field.
ESG or sustainability consulting experience.
Deep knowledge of ESG frameworks and reporting standards (GRI, TCFD, BRSR, ISSB, etc.).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, report writing, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in ESG tools and platforms (MS Excel, Power BI, ESG rating tools).
Ability to manage multiple projects and clients effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications like GRI Certified Sustainability Professional, SASB FSA Credential, or ESG investing credentials.
Experience working with regulatory frameworks like SEBI BRSR or EU CSRD.
Exposure to ESG in sectors like financial services, manufacturing, IT, or energy.
