ESG Engine Core Engineer, AS

As an ESG Analyst you are part of the DWS ESG Engines ESG Engine Core Team. The ESG Engine Team is part of DWS international Platform Sustainability Team, which has a dual reporting line into DWS Chief Investment Officer and the Head of the Product Division.

• Maintains the technical backbone of the ESG Engine (SAS, Perl, Python)
• Ensure a healthy and supporting framework to empower business engineering (that is: business users with affinity but not necessarily full stack skills can implement and program business logic).
• Maintain and enhance the usage of Domain Specific Languages which are used to describe re-curing patterns of business logic (example: classification logic / filters)
• Supports ESG Engine algorithmic engineers in using those
• Build & maintain a set of tools that smoothen change & release management.

Your skills and experience

Education and Experience

• Advanced coding experience in at least 1 of Perl, Python, SAS or similar language
• Experience in professional software development, preferably in data/scientific programming (versioning, testing, co-authoring etc)
• Basics in compiler design / theoretical computer science
• Masters degree STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)
• Proficiency in MS-Office
• Strong analytical skills and mindset; accuracy/quality-first attitude
