ESG Controller - Vice President - C13- Mumbai

Role Overview: You will be part of the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Controller team within the Finance division at Citi. Your main responsibility will be to oversee the strategic approach, preparation, analysis, and submission of external ESG disclosures. This role requires close collaboration with key partners to ensure timely and accurate ESG disclosures globally. Key Responsibilities: - Spearhead strategic initiatives by co-leading the strategy, implementation, and maintenance of core ESG reporting solutions. - Serve as the ESG disclosure expert, providing guidance on evolving ESG disclosure requirements to senior leaders and partner functions. - Support the ESG Disclosure Committee and Audit Committees in overseeing ESG disclosures. - Analyze evolving regulatory requirements, confirm disclosure requirements, and apply omission methodologies as necessary. - Develop and maintain efficient ESG reporting templates and processes. - Design impactful reports with branding and visual elements like infographics. - Update draft reports using inputs from Information Providers to ensure data integrity and alignment with the firm's ESG disclosures. - Review consolidated reports for potential legal/regulatory risks. - Engage with external assurance providers for independent review and opinions as required by regulations. - Coordinate internal and external audits and reviews of ESG disclosures. - Prepare final reports for approval by relevant governance bodies and ensure timely and accurate submission. - Continuously monitor and understand evolving regulatory requirements. - Provide support to the manager on additional tasks as needed. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree or University degree in Environmental and Social Management/Sciences or equivalent experience. - Relevant certifications such as Sustainable Investing Certificate, CFA, ESG reporting and assurance fundamentals, AICPA & CIMA, Sustainability and Climate Risk Certificate, GARP are preferred. - 8+ years of relevant experience in ESG reporting. - Exceptional analytical abilities, strong communication skills, ESG reporting knowledge, specialized ESG expertise, financial services acumen, project and stakeholder management skills, decisive leadership, and proficiency in reporting tools like MS Office and Excel are essential for this role.,
