Role Overview

Equity Data Analyst

You will play a key role in supporting our in-house stock ratings, quant models, and research automation, with potential to contribute to a commercial-grade equity data platform in the future.

Key Responsibilities

• Design the architecture for the equity financial databasestarting from scratch.
• Identify, evaluate, and source high-quality data from public filings (Annual Reports, Investor Presentations), exchanges (NSE/BSE), SEBI, and structured data vendors.
• Structure and clean financial data into usable formats across multiple time periods and industries.
• Validate and reconcile data for consistency, accuracy, and completeness.
• Collaborate with Quant Analysts and Developers to ensure the data feeds into models and analytics pipelines seamlessly.
• Build and document internal data dictionaries, mapping conventions, and update protocols.
• Propose automation methods for periodic updates as the database scales.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 0 - 2 years of experience in financial data handling, equity research support, or database operations.
• Bachelors degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Data Science or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting fundamentals.
• Working knowledge of Excel, Google Sheets, and SQL. Python is a plus.
• Comfortable reading and interpreting Indian company annual reports and filings.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and a mindset for accuracy and structure.
• Eager to learn, experiment, and contribute to building something from the ground up.
