Environmental Health and Safety Officer

• Purpose and Objectives

• Implement policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

• Major Tasks and Duties:

• Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.

• Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and schedule of routine

inspections.

• Develops health and safety procedures for all areas of the company.

• Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety,

and other relevant topics.

• Monitors compliance with safety procedures.

• Drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings.

• Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible

when needed.

• Maintains records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste

and/or pollutants, as required.

• Conducting audits, developing safety plans, and training employees on proper

safety procedures

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Principles of Responsibility (Specify the areas which this job holder is responsible for;

with regard to man, machine, material)

• Responsible for EHS area for the Pune facility as well as other locations across India

• Authorities (Specify all the areas where this job holder has been given authority to act)

• Conduct surprise audits,

• In case of non-adherence to EHS norms, stop activities or escalation to higher authorities

• Education, Experience &Skills required

• Degree in Engineering with Bachelors/Diploma in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety

and Health, or related field required.

• Diploma in Industrial Safety

• More than 5+ years of related experience preferred.

• He should have worked in Heavy Engineering Industry having manufacturing of Heavy

Fabrication, Heavy assemblies, blasting, painting.

• He should be aware about SOT, First aid, RCA/CAPA

• Well contact about government Liaoning

• Adequate knowledge of Marathi

• Knowledge about utilities & Material handling equipment safety

•

• Should be from Construction Equipment, Commercial vehicle, machine, Heavy

fabrication manufacturing industry
