As an Assistant Manager/ Manager/ Senior Manager - Entity Controller- General Ledger Accountant, your main responsibilities will include: - Managing legal entities accounting operations, ensuring compliance with key accounting controls - Overseeing month, quarter, and year-end close processes, resolving bottlenecks, and executing consolidation and closing of the books - Reviewing trial balance, detailed revenue, cost of revenue, operating expense, and balance sheet variance and trend analysis - Directing the functional work of team members for accounting complex transactions and identifying and correcting accounting issues - Reviewing/approving or preparing complex manual journal entries, ensuring accuracy and timely posting of entries - Producing and presenting monthly legal entity reporting packs with Balance Sheet and P&L analysis - Providing accurate financial accounting information and analysis to decision support, tax, controllership, and senior management - Performing Indirect Tax calculations, reviewing and submitting tax returns, and reconciling balance sheet tax - Coordinating legal entity activity, collaborating with sub-ledger teams and key internal teams - Maintaining accurate Balance Sheet reconciliation throughout the month-end timetable - Involvement in preparation/review/approval/maintaining quality reconciliations and publishing periodic reports for all open and reconciling items - Leading external audit and financial statement filings, as well as other compliance deliverables - Preparing and updating accurate process documentation, adhering to KPIs and performance against SLAs Additional responsibilities may include working in a Continuous Process Improvement environment, supporting Business Requirements gathering, and User Acceptance Testing of Finance system implementations. Qualifications required for this role include: - Qualified accountant with 6 to 8 years of experience in the corporate sector, preferably in Manufacturing/Hotel/Aviation industry exposure - Experience in General Ledger environment, managing teams in complex and multi-currency entities - Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, Oracle, and Trintech Cadency knowledge is advantageous - Analytical with attention to detail, problem resolution skills, and clear communication abilities - Flexible, proactive, responsive to changing business needs, able to work under pressure, and strong organizational skills - Experience in managing/coaching/motivating teams and providing solutions In this role, you will be working within a complex accounting environment and responsible for managing one or more of the 40 legal entities globally. Key measures for success include a detailed understanding of period-to-period movements in P&L and balance sheet, timeliness, completeness, and accuracy of accounting entries, adherence to transactional integrity and revenue recognition, and adherence to SLAs/KPIs. You will have a collaborative approach to working with various stakeholders in the General Ledger and wider Controllership teams, as well as other finance teams. Additionally, you will have a relationship with the global Enterprise Corporate Systems team responsible for Oracle E-Business Suite.
